Children and Worship

Children of all ages are welcome at all services. By virtue of their Baptism, children are part of the Body of Christ. As full members of our congregation, they are welcome to worship and to receive the sacrament of Communion. Quiet Activity Bags containing coloring books, crayons, and a children’s guide to our worship are available by the doors to the nave. At the 9:00 am service during the school year, there is a Children’s Chapel service for all children who would like to attend. Children wishing to attend follow a leader after The Gospel reading, and return to their parents in the nave during the Peace.

If you prefer that your children not receive Communion, they may still come forward and receive a blessing. They should cross their arms to show that they will not be receiving Communion
