Our 5th-6th/6th-7th graders use this exciting new resource from Augsburg Fortress designed just for tweens. Connect takes tweens on a journey through the Old Testament and into the New Testament, exploring the connections between several stories each week. It engages preteens in God’s big story through videos, Bible exploration, and hands-on projects.
As far of Confirmation classes, our youth embark on a spiritual pilgrimage. From the days of the early Church through today, Christians have made pilgrimage to holy places as a part of their discipline and life of faith. They have set out to see the places where our Lord and his saints walked, slept, prayed and preached the Good News, where others have sought and found holy places.
Pilgrimage has become an important feature of youth ministry at Trinity. After completing the classes, youth research, plan, raise money, and travel to a in search of God and their own destinies. Past trips have been to Ireland, North Carolina, Greece, New York City, and the American Southwest
WHAT IS A PILGRIMAGE?
Pilgrimage is not a vacation or a sightseeing tour or a mission trip. Pilgrimage is time we set aside to journey in the footsteps of the faithful Christians who have gone before us. It is a time for seeking and finding God in new ways.
This lively ministry is the fellowship and service group for parish teenagers. EYC provides an opportunity for students in grades 6/7 -12 to serve the community and the parish, and to enjoy fellowship and spiritual growth. We meet one Sunday a month from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm for a meal and activities.
