Trinity Calls a New Rector

The Vestry at Trinity Episcopal Church in Iowa City announced to the congregation on Sunday, January 12, 2025 that they have issued a call to the Rev. Nora Boerner to lead them as their next Rector.

The Vestry is unanimously excited at the prospect of her leadership after discerning together following a thoughtful interview process, citing her spirituality, compassion, and partnership in leadership as qualities needed in our next leader.

We look forward to welcoming Mother Nora as Rector on August 1, 2025 after she completes a sabbatical slated to start January 27, 2025 during which time she will recharge and reset to begin her time as our Rector.

We are excited for our future and ask your prayers for Trinity as we begin this time of transition.
